The Electric Safety Policy Division (ESPD) is seeking a Program and Project Supervisor to develop cutting edge policy and oversee implementation of electrical corporations’ efforts to reduce utility-ignited wildfires.
Under general direction of the Program Manager of the ESPD of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety, the Program and Project Supervisor, will lead, supervise and direct the work of staff within the Engineering Branch.
The ESPD is responsible for driving electrical corporations to be smarter and more efficient in how they target wildfire mitigations and to push them to operate more safely. To do this, the division assesses electrical corporations’ Wildfire Mitigation Plans and conducts other wildfire safety related policy work.
Travel may be required, including overnight stays. The incumbent may also be required to work nonstandard hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel within and outside the State of California by automobile and/or aircraft to attend, but not be limited to, trainings, career/job fairs, conferences, meetings, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
Travel it will be performed up to 25% of the time.
