Buyer, Associate Member of Technical Staff

  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Drive supplier selection decisions, routing spend to preferred suppliers and working with technical teams to identify and source items
  • Generate regular reports to provide status updates and tracking of open orders
  • Assist Sourcing and Supply Managers with supplier onboarding efforts, ensuring that accurate documentation (NDAs, COIs, Terms & Conditions) are in place and supplier information is up to date

Equipment Engineer, Member of Technical Staff

  • Drive design, development, and commissioning ramp of complex and custom high speed automated manufacturing equipment, including creation of equipment specifications.
  • Tests and validates new designs and equipment.
  • Lead the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance planning of manufacturing equipment.
  • Creating equipment SOP’s and documentation supporting LOTO and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
  • Establish spare parts list for inventory, research second source options to support equipment engineering requirements.
  • Establish CIP (continuous improvement process), programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.

Senior Facilities Technician

  • Executes daily, monthly, quarterly facilities & equipment inspections/maintenances
  • Acts as a contact while on shift for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs)
  • Supervises contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications
  • May act as project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility projects
  • Solicits bids and quotes from vendors
  • Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed
  • Makes minor plumbing repairs, as necessary
  • Coordinates and assists with departmental and employee moves

  • Analyze supplier risk assessments and draft risk mitigation options / recommendations for the company
  • Conduct market research to assist in new supplier identification – both for long-term purchase needs and upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) events
  • Draft an updated contracting process and upload key documents to support contract lifecycle management
  • Develop and implement procurement process improvements, coordinating with multiple internal teams to align on expectations, requirements and best practices

In this summer time position you will be a part of the Quantumscape Intern cadre developing and producing new technology for high energy density batteries. The cell production intern will aid the cell manufacturing team by designing and testing new manufacturing jigs and processes to improve line yield and device performance.
