Professional skills and capabilities are building blocks for career success and enhancing your technical expertise. However, these opportunities may not be available or accessible to those without capable mentors, workplace support, and like-minded communities. The WCS Career Development Committee is dedicated to filling that gap that exists for many women and tailoring the workshop topics to the needs and interests of our community.

Every year, we provide professional development in the format of building your skills by:
- Planning one 90-minute workshop per quarter (four workshops per year).
- Inviting experts to deliver an interactive training experience with practical, easily applied knowledge and skills to return to your job and sustain your career over time.
- Ensuring that each program has dedicated skills practice time.
- Delivering the tools participants need in their toolbox for their careers and their lives.
