The Events Committee’s goal is to further WCS’s mission of advancing women working in the green economy and to amplify the impact that WCS has on our community by facilitating high-caliber events that create opportunities for education, career development, and networking.

Benefits of Co-Hosting an Event with WCS

By co-hosting with WCS your organization will gain exposure to a new audience of like-minded individuals. Partnering with us on an event allows you to broaden your organization’s reach and network. Working with us you’ll also have the opportunity to learn how we organize events to sharpen your own event planning, marketing, and public speaking skills.

Criteria for Becoming a Co-Host Organization

As co-hosts, we seek organizations that are in alignment with the WCS mission to support women in their career paths within the cleantech and sustainability industries. Ideal co-hosts have an existing network that to invite to the event and promote to. To help us get the word out, we look for organizations that are moderately active on social media channels.

Co-Host Responsibilities for Virtual Events

As a part of your co-host role with WCS, we ask that the main point of contact for our event together attend a 30-minute rehearsal and give a short 10 min presentation about the chosen topic. Additionally, we ask you to help promote the event by sharing it with your organization’s network on your website, newsletter, and social media channels. Finally, we ask you to bring up to five people from your organization with you to help facilitate the networking breakout room section of each event.
