Environmental Manager

Hybrid – California

The Environmental Manager will oversee environmental permitting for solar and wind energy projects in the United States with a primary focus on California. Collaborating with subject matter experts within the Longroad development team, the Environmental Manager will ensure seamless integration of project features in permit applications, site plans, wildlife and vegetation plans, and other relevant project documents. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Natural Resources and closely collaborating with the project development leader for each project, the Environmental Manager will identify schedule and cost concerns while maintaining flexibility in site design.

CA Project Developer

California

The California Project Developer will be responsible for supporting the development of Longroad Energy’s utility-scale development portfolio in California. The Project Developer will focus on land use permitting of utility-scale renewable energy projects in California, including CEQA, NEPA, and CPUC processes, in close coordination with Longroad’s development and natural resources teams. The Project Developer will work on a wide range of tasks related to project development and permitting, principally focused on: creating permitting strategies and plans for land use permitting and CEQA processes, executing permitting activities, managing Longroad’s relationships with external parties, and closely managing internal and external teams preparing permit deliverables.

Construction Manager – Utility Scale Solar

Reporting to the Director, Construction Management, the Construction Manager will be assigned to represent Longroad Energy on site for construction of utility-scale solar energy projects. Such projects will include overseeing site clearing/civil work, solar installations, BESS installation, installation of the medium voltage electrical collection system and the high-voltage substation/utility switchyard. Oversight of high voltage electrical transmission lines may also be part of the role. On site, the Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager who has full responsibility for the construction of the project. The Construction Manager will be assigned to a project and will devote most of the time at the project site based in the field office.

This position serves as the principal point of contact for general contractor and subcontractor representatives at the project site as well as local landowners and community representatives. The Construction Manager must be willing to relocate based on project location(s) as project schedules require.

Traveling Assistant Project Manager

Reporting to the Director, Construction Management, the Assistant Project Manager assists in the planning, direction and coordination of activities for designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or directing and coordinating the work of others. The Assistant Project Manager must be willing to relocate based on project location(s) as project schedules require.

Operations Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Operations Engineer will work on a variety of engineering projects related to battery system, solar plant and electrical power system performance. The Operations Engineer will manage performance improvement initiatives, retrofit projects, reliability improvement projects, root cause analysis, maintenance planning and major repairs in coordination with on and offsite support. The primary responsibilities for this position include the monitoring, remediation and reliability improvement of solar and battery storage assets along with balance of plant and substation equipment.

The day-to-day activities have a wide degree of variety involving multiple operating projects located throughout the United States.
