Process Safety Engineer

San Jose, CA

The Process Safety Engineer will build and lead Antora’s process safety program — a fit-for-purpose adaptation of PSM and RMP best practices that adds value and reduces risk across Antora’s thermal energy storage facilities which are not formally covered by OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) or EPA RMP (40 CFR Part 68). This role is the process safety subject matter expert on the EH&S team, partnering with engineering, operations, and R&D to embed process safety into how Antora designs, builds, starts up, and operates its facilities. The role will own the core process safety elements — process hazard analysis, management of change, pre-startup safety review, operating procedures, and process safety information — and represent EH&S in design reviews and PHAs. Over time, this role is also expected to grow Antora’s emergency response and Incident Command System (ICS) capability across our facilities.

Project Finance Associate

San Jose, CA

Antora’s Project Finance team sits at the center of turning a rapidly expanding commercial pipeline into financed, executed projects. We’re looking for a project finance professional to join a small, high-leverage team and own the economic analysis and underwriting behind this growing deal pipeline.

You’ll bring 3+ years of project finance experience and the judgment to hit the ground running, underwriting complex energy and infrastructure deals, partnering with commercial development teams across verticals, and helping build the standardized tools and processes that let Antora underwrite consistently as we scale. Over time, you’ll grow into leading project financing yourself.

Head of Epitaxy Program

Sunnyvale, CA

Antora is seeking a well-rounded, high-initiative leader with deep subject-area expertise in III-V MOCVD epitaxial growth on InP substrates to lead the thermophotovoltaic (TPV) epitaxy program end-to-end. The role involves designing epitaxy development campaigns and managing the external suppliers who execute them. This requires deep knowledge of epitaxy and materials, designs of experiment, characterization techniques, data analysis, and investigative skills. The role also requires exceptional soft skills to manage supplier relationships, provide clear instructions, negotiate timelines, pricing, and deliverables, and to work through technical and commercial issues with suppliers that arise in the course of the work. Lastly, this individual will drive the epitaxy development strategy to maximize learning speed while controlling cost. This includes driving the make-vs-buy decision on vertically integrating epitaxy R&D.

This is a unique role with the ability to shape the success of the entire TPV program, the technology at the heart of Antora’s differentiating heat-to-power conversion approach. The role reports to Antora’s Head of Heat-to-Power.

Sunnyvale, CA

Antora is seeking a Process Development Engineer to help drive continued improvements in thermophotovoltaic (TPV) performance. This engineer will own key optical thin-film processes and play a central role in the optical and device modeling that guides Antora’s broader efficiency roadmap.

The role combines hands-on cleanroom process development with optical design, device modeling, metrology, data analysis, and experimental design. You will use these tools to identify and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities for improving TPV performance, develop and validate solutions in the fab, and translate them into measurable gains in device performance.
