Director of Business Development (Litigation Practices)

The Director of Business Development creates and implements business development initiatives, programs and plans for the litigation practices. This individual provides overall direction to the business development team supporting the litigation practices, including setting strategic and operational goals, metrics, and priorities focused on growing demand. Relying on deep understanding of litigation practices, including how clients hire outside counsel, the Director serves as a thought leader on business development and on targeted marketing methods. The Director also works closely with the communications team to develop media relations opportunities, including strategies for inclusion on key lists and in all relevant directories.

IP Billing Support Manager

Guided by both Practice Group and Client Accounting Department objectives and priorities, provides IP billing services through tactical and strategic management of IP Billing team(s) and own individual contribution.  Directly supervises, coaches and counsels designated team of IP Billing Specialists.  Manages, in coordination with CAMs, the billing arrangements, account, and inventory management for assigned client portfolios.  Develops strong collaborative relationships with attorneys throughout full cycle of client invoicing, and team delivers optimum services.  Develops and implements strategies to achieve the Firm’s billing goals.  Ensures client services and satisfaction are attained in all areas of position.

IP Billing Support Specialist

Guided by both Practice Group and Client Accounting Department objectives and priorities, assist assigned attorney(s) with the management of client accounting as it relates specifically to the patent/trademark practices. Ensure that accurate bills are generated and sent to clients in a timely manner. Demonstrate client service excellence and develop strong collaborative relationships with client accounting personnel, attorneys and IP support staff. Work closely with all to identify and resolve potential obstacles before they become billing and collection issues downstream.

Patent Billing Specialist

Working as part of a team, support the firm’s billing process by reviewing and validating incoming vendor invoices, processing for payment where appropriate.  Ensure new vendors are set up in the system and help resolve issues that arise, such as missed or misdirected invoices.  Consistently meet service standards for timeliness and work quality and quantity.  Demonstrate client service excellence and develop strong collaborative relationships with team members, vendors and MoFo Accounts Payable department, as well as MoFo patent attorneys and staff.
