Senior Accountant – Operations

Remote, United States

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You will manage the accounting responsibilities related to fixed assets and inventory, and some general corporate accounting tasks. You will ensure accurate recording of transactions, maintain detailed asset and inventory records, and provide analysis of manufacturing and project costs. You may work in a remote capacity and will report into the Controller.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Fixed Assets
    • Manage the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and revaluations.
    • Calculate and record depreciation expense observing GAAP or other applicable accounting standards.
    • Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile asset records with physical counts.
    • Conduct impairment reviews for fixed assets and prepare necessary accounting entries.
  • Inventory
    • Oversee inventory control procedures and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
    • Manage inventory costing methods and record inventory transactions.
    • Analyze inventory variances and prepare reports for management.
    • Coordinate with operations and purchasing departments on inventory management practices.
    • Calculate labor and overhead absorption using lean accounting methodologies.
    • Ensure accurate project work breakdown structure and compliance with relevant government incentive reporting requirements.
  • General Accounting
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end journal entries
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts
    • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
    • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting procedures

Senior Process Development Engineer

Devens, MA

We are looking for a Senior Process Development Engineer to develop new, innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve complex design challenges that directly enable future Electric Hydrogen product development. You will shape our manufacturing processes to enable us to scale and cell performance. As a small company, daily tasks can and will be varied; our work will be focused on our goal of enabling deep decarbonization! Daily tasks can include but are limited to: troubleshooting problems with chemical manufacturing processes, develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to ongoing chemical reactions, design and plan layout of equipment, monitor and analyze data from processes and experiments, prepare estimate of production costs and production progress reports for management, design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations, investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks, provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing, incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations, and/or review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.

You will work onsite at our Devens Gigafactory and report to the Manager of Manufacturing Process Engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and assess novel techniques for technology scale up from R&D to manufacturing and to solve key technical issues to meet electrolyzer product requirements of performance, cost, reliability, and quality
  • Plan validation to demonstrate initial feasibility as well as manufacturing capability
  • Primary NPI contact to drive process development and capability assessment
  • Optimize processes using statistical design of experiments (DOE)
  • Establish proper Statistical Process Control (SPC) schemes for new processes
  • Identify potential execution issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Present timely, concise reports advising the readiness of manufacturing processes to diverse set of program stakeholders

Safety Engineer – Plant Construction and Operations

Houston, Texas, United States

We are looking for an experienced Safety Engineer who thinks about safety from a first-principles perspective, questions norms and standards. You will ensure that our product is installed, commissioned, and safely operated within customer projects. You will be primary point person for all compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. You will be an necessary member of our engineering and deployment teams, ensuring safe execution and providing feedback to improve both our product design and deployment processes. You will work with a team to support multiple parallel customer site deployments of green hydrogen electrolysis projects.

You will serve projects located within 50-100 miles radius of Houston Metro area. At least 75% travel to customer project sites is required for this position.  You will report to our Sr. VP of Operations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for full safety envelope for Electrolysis system field installation, commissioning, and early operations at customer project sites. You will order work suspension of activities that pose threats to workers’ health and overall safety
  • Collaborate with subcontractor safety supervisors, field safety manager, and customer project management. Provide guidance to individuals and foreman on adherence to regulations and owner requirements governing site EHS
  • Inspect job sites for safe working conditions to maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Develop site specific plans for safety (JSA/JHA), emergency action, site logistics, and training
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation Training and Safety Training to new employees
  • Train site staff in multiple topics to include Pre work planning, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Crane pick planning, Aerial and Scissor Lifts, Confined Space, working at heights, First-Aid/CPR Certification
  • Create job site Job Hazard Analysis and Activity Hazard Analysis for various phases of install, commission and star-up
  • Lead daily toolbox meetings at the job site
  • Perform frequent audits of lock-out/tag-out and other mission critical safety protocols
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis for incidents and near misses. Recommend and facilitate implementation of corrective action plans
  • You will own, lead, and approve Pre-Startup Safety review before start of commissioning process
  • Lead investigations into field site safety and security incidents and near misses and improve safe operations

Electric Hydrogen is hiring for a West Coast People Partner to be based onsite at our San Jose, CA or San Carlos, CA office. You will report to the Chief People Officer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide daily performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct objective investigations
  • Conduct onboarding, new hire orientation and off-boarding

Data Scientist Part Time Intern

We’re looking for a Data Scientist part-time Intern with a passion for technology to support Electric Hydrogen on our path to rapid industrial scale decarbonization. You will work within the Power and Software Team to help develop our digital technologies and products. As a data scientist intern, you’ll play a critical role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Your work will contribute to the development of data analytics, digital twin and AI/ML models and algorithms that can be applied to data from real-world applications.

You will work onsite at our San Carlos CA, or San Jose CA office, reporting into the Power Systems Director.

6-9 month period part-time contract

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute on design, build, analysis and validation of data analytics, modeling, and machine learning techniques
  • Work with data from existing and new databases collected from industrial edge and other connected devices
  • Use data mining and machine learning algorithms to provide insights into historical and real-time data for applications such as anomaly detection, classification, and pattern recognition

Senior Account Executive – Europe

Remote, United States

We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to originate and close commercial transactions in Europe and the Middle East for our growing clean energy technology company. You will be the principal face to and voice of the customer and work across the company to close sales and win repeat business. You will bring your own customer relationships and create new ones and track your progress in our CRM system. You will find solutions where others see problems and help your teammates learn from your successes and failures.

You will work on a remote basis, based in Europe while the company evaluates potential locations for a permanent office. You will report to the SVP of Commercial and be part of a fun, driven customer-oriented team. There will be a lot of travel and a lot of fun.

Senior Control Systems Engineer

San Carlos, California, United States

We are looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our team. You will develop control strategies for our electrolyzers, validate them on our pilot plant, and deploy them to our customers. You will work onsite at our San Carlos, CA office, reporting into Director of Software Engineering.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Build process control systems on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to operate our water electrolysis plants safely and reliably. Program, debug, test, and iterate your code in simulation and on pilot-scale hydrogen plants
  • Collaborate with plant engineers to select instruments including sensors for temperature, pressure, flow, and gas composition. Integrate with control hardware over industrial network protocols
  • Develop control strategies from high-level documents such as P&IDs. Contribute to and maintain controls documents such as IO lists and cause and effect matrices
  • Create a safe environment for engineering. Implement robust warnings and alarms to ensure the plant operates within its design envelope and responds to excursions appropriately
  • Build HMIs for engineers and plant operators to use in their day-to-day testing
