About the Program

The Women in Cleantech & Sustainability Mentorship Program is a 3-month, cohort-based program that supports women in advancing their careers in the cleantech and sustainability sectors.

Program Features

  • Regular one-on-one bi-weekly or monthly meetings with a mentor
  • Learn from subject matter experts during the 3 main program events
  • Breakout sessions with cohort to share insights and discuss content
  • *NEW: Additional networking group event (optional)
  • Collaborate with a small cohort of industry professionals and expand your network
  • Learn from executives in the industry who have been there and done that   

Eligibility 

  • The mentorship program is available to anyone 18 or older.
  • WCS membership for mentees is required. The Mentorship Program is virtual to accommodate all global members of our community. If not a member, once accepted you will have 10 days to become a member or will forfeit participation.

Women pursuing a career in cleantech or sustainability, whether just starting, transitioning, or advancing your career. Mentees should have less than five years of work experience or be in career transition. WCS membership is required to participate in the program.

Seasoned professionals of any gender with at at least six years experience in the clean economy, who wish to help advance a new generation of women in the field. Mentees generally will have less than 5 years of work experience or are in a career transition.

Duration

The program runs for three months (January – March 2025), includes three virtual cohort events, and our new optional full program networking event.

Mentor/ mentee pairs will arrange a series of one-on-one meetings to take place during the course of the program (i.e., one per month for a total of 3 one-on-one meetings). Mentor/mentee pairs will decide on the cadence together.
