Mission Statement

The mission of the Zurich Chapter is to foster a regional WCS community of professionals that connects, cultivates, and creates new opportunities for participants through events focused on Zurich.

Description

The Zurich Chapter organizes virtual and in-person events that cater to people living in Zurich and feature topics important to its environment and people living in this region. We collaborate with a variety of community organizations, industry leaders, and volunteers to host regular events. We are known for our social outing events, such as hikes, beach clean-ups, and other excursions.

Chapter Leadership

  • Nermina Terzic
    Nermina Terzic Chapter Lead

    Nermina Terzic is a globally recognized energy diplomacy expert, senior negotiator, and business executive with deep expertise in EU energy security, infrastructure investment, and international economic strategy. Originally from Zagreb, Croatia, and now based in Switzerland, she is a former Croatian diplomat whose mandates have spanned China, Latvia, Brussels, Vienna, and Central & Eastern Europe. Nermina has played a key role in shaping cross-border energy cooperation and advising companies across the finance, energy, and technology sectors on market expansion and digital and energy transition strategies. A frequent international speaker for the UN, Women’s Energy Council London, and major diplomatic and business forums, she is also a partner of the World Economic Forum’s Economic Summit in Davos for 2025 and 2026.

Join us in Zurich, for the first time, at the WCS Launch event, to connect with women and allies across climate and sustainability, as we launch the WCS Zurich chapter and begin building a vibrant local community.

Hosted in the heart of the city, at the beautiful Almodobar, this conversation-driven meetup will mark the official launch of the WCS Zurich chapter and create space to build meaningful connections in the region.

Alison Lowrie (Board Member and Chapter Committee Chair) & Nermina Terzić (Zurich Chapter Lead) will kick off the evening and welcome the community.
