COP 29 Panel:

Tracking the Breakthroughs and Barriers

November 14, 2024 | 9:00 am PST

COP 29 is currently taking place in Azerbaijan, a country known for its oil production. This is the largest climate change meeting in the world, where action plans for adaptation, funds for addressing loss and damage, new climate fund targets, and reports from countries on their shift to renewable energy are expected to be crucial topics of discussion.

On November 14, halfway through the negotiations, a panel of experts will discuss the successes and challenges of the most important climate negotiations of 2024. Lisa Ann Pinkerton from Earthlings 2.0 will host the event, which will be aired on the show following the event.

Our panel consists of experts with diverse backgrounds in climate financing, journalism, mitigation, and justice. They will analyze the key topics and expected outcomes of COP 29, while assessing the progress made towards a more environmentally friendly future since COP 28 in 2023. The aim is to gain a better understanding of the latest policy developments in the Global Stocktake, Climate Finance, Mitigation Efforts, Adapting to Loss & Damage, and how to ensure a fair transition to the new green economy.

After the main panel discussion finishes, we will be hosting breakout rooms where attendees will have the opportunity to have a direct Q&A with each panelist. This is a unique chance to engage with the experts, ask your questions, and dive deeper into the critical topics shaping the future of climate action.

Don’t miss this opportunity to join the conversation and gain insights from top climate leaders!
