EVgo’s Fleet Team is hiring an entrepreneurial Business Development (BD) Associate to help scale strategic partnerships with a diversity of fleet companies such as rideshare, autonomous, delivery, and car rental companies. As an emerging sales leader, you are looking for the next challenging role in business development.
As notable industry leaders commit to 100% electrification by 2030, EVgo is working to support increased fleet charging demand on our public network through product innovation, pricing strategy, and strategic partnerships. In addition, EVgo is expanding its depot and dedicated hub work with light duty fleets.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will support BD efforts through lead identification and developing new partnership leads. You will source and qualify engagements with a variety of fleets to build a pipeline of potential BD fleet customers. As a Business Development Associate, you will support ongoing projects with established accounts. Using a data-driven approach, you will analyze market trends and industry positioning. This role is customer-facing, working cross-functionally with EVgo’s operations, analytics, marketing, and software teams to iterate on the product and tailor the offering to customer needs.
The SVP-BD reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and is a manager leading the team responsible for top line growth in EVgo’s numerous business-to-business (B2B) charging services revenue lines, including commercial agreements with fleet operators, automakers, real estate and retail site partners, rideshare companies, and the autonomous vehicle segments. In managing the BD sales team responsible for delivering B2B revenue growth, margin expansion, and the establishment of strategic beachheads in new business lines, the SVP-BD will oversee development of durable revenue models for existing and new business lines, manage funnel expansion and reporting, and ensure deal execution and closure by members of the team. The SVP-BD will be a thought partner to the CCO and will work collaboratively with other EVgo departments: technology solutions (develops products and software services related to charging); financial analysis (models financial performance of deal structures); operations (deploys charging infrastructure in retail and fleet settings); account management (implements project delivery on contracted deals); and legal (enables robust contract structures to optimize commercial outcomes).
The Vice President, PlugShare reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and is responsible to lead the PlugShare business unit to drive app growth and usage, deliver revenue and monetization from PlugShare’s core business offerings, as well as and manage the team to scale. The successful candidate will bring experience, energy, and astute management acumen to developing new business partnerships and growing existing arrangements; managing the pipeline and leading internal reporting and projections; unlocking new revenue opportunities; and bringing creativity to tackle new opportunities. The VP of PlugShare will provide leadership in the development and management of strategic commercial initiatives within current and potential verticals and will offer key inputs into product line management across. The VP is ultimately responsible for achieving revenue targets and profit objectives within the parameters of the annual business plan.
They will partner with other senior leaders within PlugShare and across EVgo to inform commercial strategy, develop and track objectives and key results (OKRs), report on key metrics, and maximize the team’s performance.
EVgo is seeking a summer intern to help scale and define process within our growing fleets business. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working in clean technology and business operations. Success in this role will require the ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, meticulous organization skills and excellent communication. This role requires someone who is a self-starter and able to work across departments and stakeholder groups.
