About the Position:

The Senior Communications Manager will be responsible for supporting AHG and our clients in elevating our brands in the climate tech, venture capital, and policy communities. Within AHG, you will develop and implement our communications strategy, including earned and owned media. You will research, write, edit and manage the publication of our monthly newsletter, the Gist, and be responsible for growing our audience. You will work closely with AHG’s CEO to build the firm’s public profile, deepen relationships with relevant reporters and thought leaders, and grow our social media presence. With our clients, you will provide targeted communications to support their growth, and advise the exec suite on how to build out a comms function.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement AHG’s strategic communications plan to develop and grow the AHG brand with key client segments as well as with climate/tech/vc reporters and policy-makers.

  • Develop and manage a thought leadership strategy for AHG’s CEO and for select startup client CEOs.

  • Advise AHG startup clients on their communications/press strategy and how to build out a communications function.

  • Hone and define the AHG brand voice on owned media channels.

  • Manage and become the editorial voice of the AHG monthly newsletter, The Gist, and develop content that will scale.

  • Design and launch a social media strategy to grow readership of the Gist and amplify AHG’s voice and presence.

  • Develop content and earned media strategies, pitch original stories to reporters, and generate and manage requests for interviews of CEO, AHG team members, and clients.

  • Contribute to the editorial development, including research, guest outreach, and scripting, of the Technopolis podcast.
