We are looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Global foresight team as the USA expert.
Location of the position is Silicon Valley, Palo Alto.
In this role, you will be part of our Internationalization Services organization and reporting to Director General’s Office Global Insight unit.
Internationalization Services organization is responsible for providing and creating services for Finnish companies looking to grow international, and finding business opportunities around the world. Global Insight Unit is responsible for foresight, business and market intelligence functions.

You will get an opportunity to work in a fast moving and truly global organization. Along the way, you will meet colleagues and partners from all over the world from many different industries, companies and organizations. You will be a part of the global Foresight Team, contributing to global foresight creation and development of our foresight practices. We contribute to Business Finland strategy and thematic area development as well as customer work. We recognize market and industry change phenomena from weak signals to radical changes and their impact on Finnish economy, specific industries and companies. Our work requires close cooperation with the global Team Finland network as well as with internal stakeholders at Business Finland. Actionable insights is our mission- we create impact through collaboration, enabling our customers form their own perspective and blueprint for action.
You will be responsible for:
- Insight creation on key change phenomena having impact on the Finnish economy and businesses
- Dissemination and exploitation of foresight results internally and to Business Finland stakeholders and clients
- Embedding foresight into Business Finland strategy, thematic and program work (key trends, change phenomena, weak signals)
- Foresight collaboration with partners, stakeholders and our clients
- Annual planning and delivery of Future Watch reports, coordinating research with relevant partners
- Networking with relevant thought leaders, experts and partners
- Participates in Nordic Innovation House collaboration with both Business Finland and Nordic Colleagues

You have several years’ experience in market and business analysis in international environment. You are skilled in communicating fluently and persuasively your findings to key stakeholders, influencers, partners and customers to create impact. You are an experienced facilitator, whose workshops are considered as insightful and thought provoking, participative and action driven. International research and foresight partners recognize you as a good collaborator and an influencer.
The job requires fluency in English. Fluency in Finnish and is considered as an advantage, as you will be interacting with Finnish companies.
