Engineer I/Senior Engineer – Electric System Hardening (Hybrid Schedule)
This position supports high profile program portfolios for SDG&E in the Electric System Hardening group. These programs have substantial impact on our customers, business practices, and company goals. This individual in this role may provide leadership and direction for complex or major engineering projects and/or studies.
Electronic Control Technician- Power Delivery
Installs, tests, programs, and repairs a variety of SCADA electronic substation and field metering equipment. Maintains telemetry and other computerized distributed control system equipment such as PLC’s, RTU’s, and SCADA system devices. Utilizes computers and related applications to program and configure equipment required for company operations. Works with Distribution and Transmission Control Centers to calibrate, troubleshoot and verify field metering and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) operations. Works with various Telemetering systems and supporting equipment that provides data to EMS systems. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Engineer-I/Senior (Hybrid Schedule)
Prepare or assist in the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, standards, studies, cost estimates and the development of sound technical recommendations, in support of projects and tasks managed by others within the department or other departments. Responsible for engineering calculations to solve problems for new facilities and repairs/modifications to existing facilities related to the SDGE electric and gas transmission/distribution system. Works on more complex projects than a lower level engineer.
Gas Construction Manager
Responsible for multiple workgroups within Gas Field Operations for one or multiple geographical operations centers. Provides overall leadership and management of supervisors, administrative, and represented employees in a manner that produces industry-leading results in safety, compliance, and employee performance while meeting operational and financial objectives. Manages distribution pipeline safety; risk mitigation; gas emergencies; construction and maintenance of gas distribution and support of electric operations. Strategically manages and has oversight of regulatory compliance; business optimization development and execution; customer service, CPUC compliance audit oversight, employee development and ensuring financial goals are met for Capital, O&C/O&M budgets. Collaborates with industry partners and State Regulators in the development of gas distribution pipeline regulations.
Vehicle Operator A
Drive and operate various specialized vehicles and equipment related to construction operations and maintenance activities. Operates all types of crane vehicles in and around high voltage electrical equipment under the direct supervision of a qualified C&O Journeyman electrical worker. Transports and delivers all types of equipment and material to and from job sites. Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Senior Public Affairs Manager (Hybrid Schedule)
Provide direction, communication and strategic planning for all public affairs activities in an assigned portion of portions of SDG&E’s service territory. Provide leadership and management support to the Public Affairs Managers and Public Affairs Advisors on strategy, relationship management, program and infrastructure execution throughout assigned areas of responsibility. Develop and implement programs to increase the effectiveness of all five regions within SDG&E Regional public affairs. This role may require 24/7 support during emergencies or crisis situations.
Plant Engineer
Manage and oversee all plant engineering functions to assure the plants operate at maximum performance and profitability. Provide analytical services to the Operations and Maintenance Managers, and Compliance Administrator.
Grid Control Project Coordinator Team Lead (Hybrid Schedule)
The Grid Control (GC) Project Coordination Team Lead manages a team responsible for the coordination and implementation of real-time system changes and relevant documentation thereby maintaining accurate, up to date information of the electric transmission grid improving situational awareness, adhering to compliance obligations. Provides 24/7 support of the Energy Management System (EMS) display building process, System Operating Diagrams (SOD), Control and Protection (C&P) Notes and Electric Transmission Schematic (ETS) along with disseminating relevant information to the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) and neighboring utilities ensuring compliance. Responsible for situational awareness improvements within EMS to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the electric transmission grid.
Senior/Principal Engineer – Renewable Interconnections PE (Hybrid Schedule)
Normally designated as a lead engineer. As such, provides work direction to subordinate engineers and/or acts as a project leader over the more complex or major engineering projects and/or studies.
Transmission Lineman
Install, operate and maintain the Company’s electric transmission system under direct supervision; operate tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the work; perform other related duties as required or assigned. Work on wood, steel poles and towers up to 200 feet. Use of Live Line Tools on 12kV-500kV and rubber gloving method may be used up to 12kV. Bare Hand techniques may be utilized on 69kV-500kV. Work may be performed from structure or aerial lift truck. Will operate mechanized line truck or other trucks. Install, maintain and repair electric transmission and distribution OH lines and equipment up to 500 kV. Install, maintain and repair electric transmission and distribution UG Cable and equipment up to 230kV. Erect and climb poles and steel structures. Install crossarms, insulators, conductors, switches and other equipment.

Entry level position that supports accounting and finance related activities throughout Sempra companies. Rotational opportunities are available in various financial and accounting groups for career development. Performs specific accounting, regulatory, reporting, and financial assignments under the direct guidance of more experienced/senior business analysts or accountants in completing assignments. Complexity of assignments is commensurate with a basic understanding of SAP, utility accounting/regulation, and policies/procedures applicable to functional area. More complex work is assigned as training progresses.
