The mission of the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and consumer energy costs by advancing clean energy, energy efficiency, and zero emission vehicles (ZEV) to benefit all Coloradans. CEO develops and implements policy and programming to support this mission and achieve outcomes within Colorado’s energy sectors. Increasing the adoption of zero emission vehicles including electrifying cars, buses and trucks and increasing adoption of electric bicycles, is a critical strategy to reduce pollution from the transportation sector. CEO is working to remove market barriers to electric vehicle adoption, including increasing charging infrastructure across Colorado. CEO complements these efforts by working with utilities to increase utility investment in electric vehicle (EV) charging; providing education and technical assistance to fleets and the public; and conducting research on strategies to further reduce emissions.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
The Program Manager position will be responsible for developing and implementing an infrastructure grant program that supports electrification of medium and heavy duty (M/HD) fleets in Colorado, which is a major strategy outlined in Colorado’s Clean Truck Strategy. The position will also support existing programs including the Charge Ahead Colorado and DC Fast-Charging Plaza programs, and will contribute to the development and implementation of CEO’s broad set of zero emission vehicle strategies. Candidates for this position should demonstrate the ability to perform under a high degree of autonomy, manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously, and drive thoughtful, creative programming needed to meet the State’s goal of 940,000 light duty and 36,000 M/HD EVs on the road by 2030.
