Private Equity MBA Intern | Antin Infrastructure Partners | New York City

Internship Period – Summer 2023

Internship Location – New York City

Resume drop deadline – January 11, 2023

Firm Profile – Antin Infrastructure Partners (“Antin”) is a leading independent private equity firm focused on infrastructure investments. Based in London, Paris, New York and Luxembourg with over 190 professionals, Antin manages multiple funds that invest in infrastructure and target controlling stakes for investments in the energy and environment, telecommunication, transportation and social infrastructure sectors. The firm manages over €29 billion as of 30 September 2022, raised from over 100 blue-chip institutional investors. Although historically focused on the European infrastructure market, Antin opened an office in New York in 2018 in order to expand its U.S. presence. The New York team is currently comprised of over 30 professionals. Antin has executed multiple deals in North America to date.

In 2021, Antin also launched a new team focused on investing in next generation infrastructure across the aforementioned sectors and across Europe and North America.  The team invests from a dedicated fund that is tracking well towards a €1.2 billion target raise, and has already completed 3 deals (1 smart microgrid business and 2 EV charging platforms).  Antin’s NextGen team in New York currently has 7 investment professionals and focuses on U.S. and Canadian opportunities.

Job Description – Antin expects interns to assist in the potential acquisition of infrastructure companies in North America and Europe, as well as evaluation of potential add-ons and ongoing asset management activities. The investment process requires the financial skills of investment banking, the strategic thinking of management consulting, and tactical skills in managing internal and external parties and processes. As a result, this internship program is a unique experience to develop a well-rounded business mind and see multiple facets of infrastructure investing.

Interns will work on both acquisition opportunities and management of current portfolio companies. The streamlined organization of the investment team offers interns the opportunity to be fully part of the team, assume responsibilities and work closely with senior managers of the firm and external advisors. Antin will provide comprehensive training sessions and mentorship programs to help interns learn essential skillsets required for this role and develop meaningful relationships with the Antin team under both professionals and social settings.

Interns will be part of either Antin’s Flagship investment team (focused on investments for Antin’s Flagship and Mid Cap buyout funds) or Antin’s NextGen investment team (focused on investments for the NextGen fund) for the summer, though will have some exposure to the other team.  Please clearly indicate your preference in applying.

Experience – Antin is considering MBA candidates for the internship position. Previous internships or job experience in M&A or Corporate Finance is required.

Qualifications – Applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and financial skills
  • Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency across Excel / PowerPoint / Word
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit and able to work independently

Antin is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We strongly encourage applicants to apply if they identify as being part of an underrepresented group. If you believe this is a role that you’ll be excited to work in every day, want to be a part of a culture like ours, please apply .
