Director of Digital Engagement

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, the Director of Digital Engagement will lead Vote Solar’s digital communications strategy to ensure our advocacy efforts effectively engage, educate, and inspire people to support Vote Solar’s mission. In collaboration with the Communications and Philanthropy teams, the Director of Digital Engagement will set the vision, establish goals, evaluate and report on our online engagement efforts including member journey & experience. In addition, this position will own online advertising and maintenance of our CRM and website.

Director, Indigenous Partnerships – Interior West

The Interior West Director of Indigenous Partnerships will support Vote Solar’s Interior West regional team by incorporating Indigenous engagement and partnership work within the campaign and regulatory work. The Interior West Director of Indigenous Partnerships will also partner with the Access & Equity Team to incorporate Indigenous partnership learnings into Vote Solar’s deployment of the Just Partnership Principles. To support successful public-facing campaigns in legislative and regulatory arenas, you will be expected to conduct outreach with Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities to uplift Indigenous voices within the energy space, help identify policy priorities, manage coalitions, provide feedback on policy negotiations, and inform campaign strategy.

The goals of this role are to 1) become a trusted partner by Tribal Nations and Indigenous peoples in the development of equitable solar policy solutions; 2) to recognize the disparities in energy justice and create and pass solar policy that centers marginalized groups, including Tribal Nations and Indigenous people; 3) to integrate feedback from outreach and consultation efforts into campaign development and implementation across Vote Solar; 4) to be a leader among other environmental and energy-focused groups as a representative of Indigenous partnerships; and 5) identify and implement strategies to ensure that Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities are leading voices in shaping policy and regulatory conversations and outcomes.

Senior Director, DEIJ Learning + Environment

Vote Solar is looking to fill a key role on our national Talent + Culture team. Reporting to the Managing Director, Talent + Culture, the Senior Director, DEIJ Learning + Development is critical to the design and implementation of Vote Solar’s DEIJ work. The Sr. Director will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the implementation of meaningful and sustained organizational change, and will also work in partnership with staff across the organization. The Sr. Director has experience and proven success in leading the development and implementation of DEIJ learning initiatives across complex organizations. The Sr. Director will lead the execution of the organization’s DEIJ training and development program. The Sr. Director will be a partner and a resource for teams and individuals across the organization in creating and implementing adaptive and relevant DEIJ learning opportunities.

Southeast Regional Director, The Carolinas

Vote Solar is seeking to fill a key role on our campaign’s team. The Southeast Regional Director is Vote Solar’s voice in the region, and will be looked upon to bring Vote Solar’s social justice values, technical know-how, and consensus building skills to the region to move the needle to advance fair and expansive energy policies in the Carolinas. The Southeast Regional Director will develop and direct legislative and other public-facing campaigns in North Carolina and South Carolina
