Primary Purpose:

The Capability Owner Team Lead is a member of a capability team, primarily responsible for the delivery of vulnerability management for the organization. Maintains a delivery roadmap of work and services, prioritizing backlog of work based on value to enterprise and innovate strategic direction focused on cybersecurity risk reduction. Facilitates frequent stakeholder-facing interactions to draft objectives and strategies, drives innovation through services, and provides channels for users to request and receive standard services to remediate vulnerabilities. Develops and maintains formal procedures for capability management for greater consistency and increased productivity.

As the team lead and primary enterprise point of contact for the team, navigates increasingly complex stakeholder interests with broader cross-team considerations or business implications, drives strategic innovation direction, service enhancements and improvements. Analyzes vulnerability management performance through statistical and reporting methods to ensure that all agreed services are being delivered, satisfaction levels and expectations are met, and team focuses on innovation. Prioritizes team’s work, defining the roadmap for their capability.

Works with contractors through the external vendor manager directly or their back-office support for any assigned work, to lead status meetings with external vendor management to review progress and quality of assigned work. Assists as needed with providing company protocols, scope of work, and contract adjustments where valid and approved by company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Defines and communicates team’s roadmap and vision with overall vulnerability management. Manages complex technology needs with greater cross-team dependencies, stakeholder relationships, and the capability maturity, with full authority. Follows industry best practices to identify, document, mitigate and resolve vulnerability risks. A capability is a technical service, system, application, function or process and may include enterprise-wide standards (e.g., IT quality assurance, cybersecurity compliance, etc.). Identifies and qualifies potential opportunities with the stakeholders for the backlog, focusing on work planning and extended roadmaps to reduce risks from vulnerabilities throughout the enterprise. Ensures that the value of work delivered is measurable. A backlog is a dynamic, prioritized list of everything that is known to be needed in the product including descriptions, estimated effort, and noted order. Drives strategy and communication of team’s roadmap with an eye towards continuous innovation and improvement. Proactively champions new opportunities to enhance technical services, bringing thought leadership and expertise to enhance the strategy for vulnerability management.

Captures work requests from end users and documents work to inform priority and planning, potentially from multiple stakeholders. Acts as a trusted advisor and liaison between team and consumers/end users, which may include enterprise business users, vendors, employees or other teams within IT and Cybersecurity. Proactively aligns with stakeholders on work priority and progress to drive understanding of delivery expectations. Coordinates requests and needs from end users with related cross functional teams, leading communications with partners and handling intake and prioritization of requests. Collaborates across enterprise to understand and manage delivery dependencies. Communicates value of increasingly more complex services with greater technical and business implications to team to support their understanding and provide clear success criteria for work completion. Manages team plan, priorities, and maintains a healthy backlog of work for team.

Oversees delivery of team’s related services across organization. Empowers teams with knowledge, tools, services, and resourcing to enable activities within respective capability. Responsible for planning and managing all activities within an assigned delivery scope as determined by team and related leadership, managing the team’s work. Proactively collaborates with company customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify related delivery requirements, assess potential impacts, consider user needs, and compare costs. Consults with leaders and teams to provide recommendations or guidance.

Drives delivery of work and prioritizes value creation, providing capability specific input and guidance to working teams. Operates following known industry practices, such as Kanban. Kanban is a framework used for organizing work in an agile way, focused on managing flow of knowledge and operational work and driving continuous improvement for a team. Mentors less experienced staff on capability related best practices, procedures and process.

Acts as direct supervisor to a team of employees. Holds responsibility for performance management activities, addressing staffing needs, people-related administrative activities, managing employee relations, and other people management duties as required. Supports team members in their individual development and continuous improvement, including goal setting and training plans.

Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, related field or equivalent training and/or experience.

8 years – Progressive experience in IT service delivery, risk and compliance, IT operations, IT project delivery and/or equivalent experience required.

2 years – Related experience as a senior contributor, lead, project manager, supervisor or equivalent position.

Effective Communication Skills – Ability to clearly articulate ideas and convey messages across audiences, utilizing formal and informal communication modes such as presentations, written documents, and one-on-one conversations.

Capability Industry Insights – Demonstrates a strong understanding of emerging trends in their capability landscape, including new technologies, processes, and ways of working. Knowledge of capability industry trends and insights with the ability to apply knowledge to the company’s systems, applications, infrastructure, and practices.

Stakeholder Management – Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (including clients) in order to drive outcomes and create alignment around a vision or course of action.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 year – Experience with agile frameworks.

2 years – Experience working in the energy sector or with a utility.

Cybersecurity related certification.

Value Realization – Strong ability to identify the benefits provided by a proposed user story or feature relative to the effort that it will require from the team in order to drive the effective prioritization of work to maximize the benefits delivered by the team to the customer.

Agile Methodologies – Knowledge of concepts, including Agile Scrum and/or Kanban, and application of Agile methodology (e.g., Lean, SAFe, LeSS) for project management to be able to design, implement and manage projects.

Primary Purpose

The Manager of Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture will provide overall management for people, process, and technology capabilities for the Cybersecurity Engineering and Architecture teams. This role works with the various teams and stakeholders to ensure the necessary security standards are in place for on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

Leads Cybersecurity Centers of Excellence and the delivery of Cybersecurity Engineering & Architecture services. Ensures compliance and business continuity for applications, data assets, and platforms. Meets customer expectations and/or Service Level Agreements for cybersecurity project performance and execution. As a manager of cybersecurity engineering teams, supervises technical track staff such as Cybersecurity Domain Engineers, Domain Architects, Enterprise Architects, and others as assigned. Mentors and supports technical staff, drive technical skill development. Ensures that modern cybersecurity engineering practices are followed. Builds forward-looking cybersecurity capabilities for organization.

May act as an service owner, overseeing medium to large cybersecurity vendor contracts and relationships, and managing the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the services provided. Works with contractors through the external vendor manager directly or their back office support for any assigned work, to lead status meetings with the external vendor manager to review progress and quality of assigned work. Assists as needed with providing company protocols, scope of work, and contract adjustments where valid and approved by company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead teams of cybersecurity engineers and architects accountable for the development of security reference architectures, policies, standards and engineering guidelines to build security into technology used by the company. Supports complex projects requiring security architecture and engineering solutions. Sets vision and roadmap for development of technical cybersecurity capabilities they are responsible for providing to enterprise. Manages enterprise cybersecurity technology needs, stakeholder relationships, and capability maturity. Collaborates with Group Product Managers and architects to drive enterprise-wide adoption of capability under their leadership. Evaluates and prioritizes strategic opportunities to enable technology organization to safely deliver on business priorities. Proactively champions new opportunities for automation, innovation, and technical excellence within the Cybersecurity organization, bringing thought leadership and deep technical expertise to drive adoption. Owns quarterly planning and roadmaps for the Cybersecurity Engineering capabilities.

Manages executive relationships to maintain strategic direction and pipeline of work. Holds full accountability for success of designated function or department. Drives performance against measurable functional, operational, and strategic priorities. Prioritizes work based on stakeholder needs and objectives and ensures the deployment of people, process, and technology resources is aligned to IT strategy. Provides technical leadership to manage planning, refinement, execution and review of critical initiatives.

Leads oversight of timeliness and quality of vendor services and deliverables. Works in partnership with Supply Management and IT Vendor Management Office (VMO) to support Business Review meetings, reviewing performance, quality and continuous improvement of service delivery. Assists as needed with providing SDG&E protocols, scope of work, and contract adjustments where valid and approved by SDG&E. Provides strategic direction to develop Service Level Agreements, technology standards and guidelines. Works through the external vendor manager to ensure high performance standards and success of critical technology programs through strong performance management and measurement. Assesses vendor capabilities, ensuring a clear understanding of platforms, strategies, roadmaps, and releases. Drives definition of enterprise strategy, platform, and capability roadmaps to deliver critical functionality to the Cybersecurity organization. Partners with peers across the cybersecurity organization to identify new innovations, capabilities and solutions that improve security posture of the company.

Define, support and expand the implementation of an operational framework focused on Agile/DevSecops Cybersecurity organization and repeatable automation with reference architectures.

Provides leadership to a large team, providing direction, motivation, and strategic oversight. Owns all aspects of employee management for a large team, directing work and providing guidance. Responsible for all aspects of performance management, training and development. May supervise team leads.

Approves contracts and services with 3rd party vendors, up to $500,000.

Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity/Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Administration, related field or equivalent training and/or experience.

8 years – Progressive experience in Cybersecurity, IT project management, or related field. Experience working with IT financial and/or vendor management highly desired.

3 years – Related supervisory and/or lead experience.

2 years – Experience working with Cybersecurity frameworks and controls, such as NIST, CSF, ISO, etc.

Knowledge and ability to implement Cybersecurity frameworks and controls.

Knowledge of IT & OT Cybersecurity best practices.

Stakeholder Management – Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in order to drive outcomes and create alignment around a vision or course of action.

Cybersecurity Project Delivery – Proven ability executing projects in a collaborative, fast paced environment. Knowledge on how to implement and use agile methodologies within the Cybersecurity area.

Communication for Technical Leadership – Ability to communicate technical ideas and strategies effectively to non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, via multiple mediums (e.g., written communications, verbal communications, presentations, etc.).

Technology Trends – Demonstrates a strong understanding of emerging trends in the cybersecurity landscape, including new technologies, processes, and ways of working. Able to determine the impact of technological advancement on the company’s systems, applications, infrastructure, and practices.

Vendor / Contract Management – Ability to build effective relationships with third party providers, suppliers, and partners.

Financial Acumen – Strong financial acumen, including the ability to accurately report spending in the cybersecurity function and an understanding of both CapEx and OpEx budgets.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years – Experience in agile methodologies, and agile project management techniques such as Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).

2 years – Experience working with DevSecOps practices, including Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

2 years – Experience working within the energy sector or with a utility.

Knowledge and experience using various cybersecurity tools within the DevSecOps phases.

Automation and Security Concepts – Knowledge of automation and security concepts (e.g., test automation, code coverage, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, etc.)

Business Functional Knowledge – Knowledge and understanding of the business context, market and operational functions of the operating company, and the wider utilities industry.

Service Design and Management – Manage the design of one (or more) information-based technology-enabled service through addressing requirements from Capacity Management, Information Security Management, Availability Management, Service Continuity Management, Supplier Management and Service Level Management).

Accurately tracks, measures, and reports team activities and performance in area of responsibility. Contributes to financial reporting to comply with company CapEx and O&M requirements.

Manages budget for assigned capital projects, tracking spending, establishing and updating budgets, and providing regular financial projections on forecasted spend. Coordinates with finance to report spending accurately against corporate financial requirements and capital spending plans.

IT Vendor Management: Leads project delivery, including oversight of timeliness and quality of vendor contracts and deliverables. Primary Purpose:

Plans, organizes, conducts and communicates primary customer research studies, for achieving corporate and internal client goals related to customers; supports other team members and provides information to management on customer attitudes and perceptions, knowledge, behavior and demographics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides information on the voice of the customer (attitudes, knowledge, behaviors) by supporting, reporting and communicating primary research results, and providing recommendations for improvement to internal clients.
  • Provides information and customer insight to management, research team and major internal customers. Work effectively with other team members and across the organization. Handle client expectations related to schedule/timeline.
  • Develop research solutions to business problems. Plans, organizes schedules and develops procedures for customer research efforts, and applies them within scope of objectives and budget.
  • Evaluate, coordinate, monitor the activities of research suppliers and review and evaluate the effectiveness of their research and reporting platforms. Monitor and recommends improvements in the acquisition, maintenance, distribution and utilization of research information.
  • Respond to archival research report requests and data requests required by various departments, divisions and regulatory agencies. Research and respond to inquiries and complaints from customers related to the research conducted as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge and awareness of technical developments in the fields of consumer research and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience), preferably in marketing, communications or social science.
  • 3 – 5 years – professional experience related to consumer research or marketing research activities. Required
  • Experience is required in designing and overseeing research projects.
  • Experience working in the energy industry a plus.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of primary and secondary research techniques and applications. Intermediate
  • Requires judgment and ability in survey methodology, design, data interpretation, analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated effective project management, negotiation and organizational abilities. Intermediate
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large data sets and customer insights, transforming disparate data into actionable and strategic insights, ultimately sharing the story of the data.
  • Diplomacy and tact when dealing with others; positively influences others and gains their respect, cooperation and support. Intermediate
  • Detail orientated and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong work ethic and adherence to deadlines. Intermediate
  • Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate
  • Proficiency in online survey design, SQL, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Intermediate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the energy industry a plus.
  • Experience in research project management using an Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma approach is a plus.

Primary Purpose:

This position serves as an important resource for data- based insights related to customers. Responsible for querying data, and providing meaningful displays of findings to support customer facing areas such as marketing, outreach and communication, in order to aid in their understanding of diverse customer population and their engagement with our services/programs. Utilizes querying and data manipulation techniques to acquire data from various siloed databases for various purposes, such as supporting communications with customers and key performance reporting. Provides information relevant to customer targeting and campaign effectiveness, as well as other relevant customer metrics, and collaborates across departments in order to align data presentment and other outcomes with client data needs.

  • Utilizes advanced data manipulation techniques while extracting, querying, transforming and loading data as needed in support of various reporting and analysis needs.
  • Performs data analysis of information gathered, and develop recommendations/actions to be taken based on the applicable information. Analyzes data/information and creates data visualization, reporting and presentation of insights developed through the analysis.
  • Acts as a point of contact with a wide range of clients regarding business problems as they relate to analytics. Handles client expectations related to schedule/timeline.
  • Presents insights and data through written and data visualization. Leads department and team level presentations on data insights.
  • Works effectively and collaborates with other team members and across the organization.
  • Maintains current knowledge and awareness of technical developments in the field of data analytics.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in data science, data analytics, or social science or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • 3 years – Professional experience related to analytical activities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, analysis, and problem solving skills and ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly.
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage data acquisition from multiple sources, and analysis.
  • Business acumen, technical knowledge and knowledge in applications (e.g., SQL, SAP) and technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams independently.
  • Good relationship management skills.
  • Ability to identify and draw on analytical tools and techniques to develop creative approaches and insights to client issues.
  • Must be able to write and present clear and efficient insights developed through the analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PowerBI or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience in research project management using an Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma approach is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, or other Marketing Analytics toolsets.
  • Knowledge of Social Media reporting and analytics.
  • Knowledge of census, demographics, and other customer communications data.
  • Knowledge of modeling data-based tendencies to help predict customer attributions and propensities using statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS, SPSS Modeler).
