Data Scientist – San Francisco Bay Area, CA

The Data Scientist (Energy Analytics) will be involved in various functions including short-term and long-term renewable power portfolio forecasting. The data scientist will apply their skills and knowledge in data science, machine learning, statistics, and programming to explore the solutions for improving energy/LMP forecasting performance, benchmarking competition, and backtesting bidding and offer strategies. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team responsible for optimizing the profitability of a growing portfolio of operating assets. This position will primarily support Asset Management and coordinate with a variety of additional internal and external counterparties including Transmission Analytics, Power Marketing, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Capital Markets.

Development Project Manager – Remote

The Development Project Manager will lead and support the development of large-scale renewable projects across the U.S. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development of solar and energy storage projects prior to execution into construction. The position will collaborate with the Strategy & Investments, Engineering, Capital Markets, Procurement, and Construction teams across the full project lifecycle from origination to NTP (notice-to-proceed).

Development Project Manager (East)  – North Carolina, Virginia, or Remote

The Development Project Manager will lead and support the development of large-scale renewable projects across the U.S. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of project development for solar and energy storage projects. The position will collaborate with the Strategy & Investment, Power Marketing, Capital Markets and Projects teams during the development phase from origination / M&A to notice-to-proceed.

Manager, Land & Real Estate – California, Colorado, Arizona

The Land & Real Estate Manager will be responsible for site control, clearing title, due-diligence, engaging with financing parties, site identification, and early-stage development in support of SB Energy’s development portfolio for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in the western region (US). This position will report to the VP of Development & Origination.

Power Marketing Senior Analyst – Redwood City, CA or Denver, CO

The Power Marketing Senior Analyst will support defining and directing the Power Marketing and Wholesale Origination strategy across the US. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing modeling and analytical support towards power offtake opportunities, including RFO preparation and submission materials, forward shape valuation, basis and curtailment backcast and forecast analysis, revenue opportunity of various hedging instruments and pricing model support. The position will report to the Senior Manager of Power Marketing, and coordinate with Operations, Capital Markets, and Strategy and Investment teams on projects and pricing, as well as strategic direction for the company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in written and critical thinking and a general background of the US energy markets. The position will work cross-functionally across various areas of the business and will require in-depth knowledge of the business strategies and SB Energy company goals.

Preconstruction Manager – Remote

As a part of the Procurement team, the Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for project due diligence, capex estimates, RFP support and EPC Contract negotiations for multi-million dollar utility-scale solar contracts with EPC contractors and O&M operators. The Preconstruction Manger Manager will have the ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. The Preconstruction Manager will also have excellent organizational skills, be able to manage multiple projects at once, have excellent follow through skills and will have the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Talent Development Manager – Redwood City, California, United States

The Talent Development Manager will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing talent programs in relation to Learning, Development and Succession Planning for professional growth and career progression at SBE. This role will develop programs to train, coach and develop our current and future leaders, identify, and assess external programs through vendor partnerships, and create pathway opportunities across the team. The chief purpose of this role is to bring out the best in every person and the best in every team, so that we can deliver the best of ourselves to SBE’s mission and vision.
