The Senior Domain Engineer – Enterprise Network Architecture and Engineering manages provisioning and configuration, ensuring the reliability of one or more systems, platforms or networks. Builds, runs, and maintains aspects of a critical IT service, making it available on a self-service basis to agile product teams. Works both collaboratively and independently within a team, drawing on their advanced knowledge of a specialist area in infrastructure, security or operations. Predicts and manages interdependencies and risks related to area of expertise and contributes to success of complex initiatives to develop technology and systems.
Works with Contractors through the external vendor manager directly or their back-office support for any assigned work, to lead status meetings with external vendor manager to review progress and quality of assigned work. Assists as needed with providing company protocols, scope of work, and contract adjustments where valid and approved by company.
Oversees entire procurement process for medium to high risk and complexity projects with oversight from Procurement Project Manager. Coordinates with stakeholders and integrates their requirements into the sourcing and contracting processes. Develops and issues Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for information (RFIs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs). Coordinates and leads proposal reviews, evaluations and recommendations for contract awards. Works with Procurement Project Managers to support the development and execution of sourcing strategies that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage/mitigate risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of projects managed.
Manage Safety projects, training, assigned safety programs and basic ergonomic evaluations. Responsible for the management and development of project scope, budget, schedule and resource requirements. Independently, manage several concurrent projects, assignments and activities. Lead company safety programs including SMITH System driving, AED program, safety training and other programs assigned. Provide health and safety guidance to internal and external stakeholders/customers.
This position is responsible for meeting SDGE’s Residential Energy Efficiency (EE), Customer Assistance (including CARE, Energy Savings Assistance and other Low-Income programs), and Renewables program goals, as approved by the CPUC, and overseeing the Processing and Enrollment team responsible for Customer Assistance, EE, and DR applications, recertification, and other program transactions. Responsible for managing program budgets of over $100 million dollars annually and an organization of approximately 30 staff members. The scope of this position includes aligning program design and operations to be integrated, customer-centric and cost-effective. Responsibilities include improving and creating new, cost-effective programs for residential customers, strategizing regulatory filings and positions, developing and supporting implementation of energy efficiency strategies, developing and ensuring compliance with program implementation policies and procedures, providing guidance and direction to staff and representing the Company statewide and nationally as an industry leader in energy programs and practices.
Prepare or assist in the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, standards, studies, cost estimates and the development of sound technical recommendations, in support of projects and tasks managed by others within the department or other departments. Responsible for engineering calculations to solve problems for new facilities and repairs/modifications to existing facilities related to the SDGE electric transmission/distribution system. Works on more complex projects than a lower-level engineer and work to become a Start Engineer (i.e. Substation Commissioning Engineer).
This position guides and leads the personnel and activities of the Distribution Control Center and Technical Support Team. Responsibilities include creating strategies and building consistency with the team, managing the technical and operational aspects of the electric system, reliability, and adherence to company safety policies and standards. This position is responsible for supervising 24/7/365 shift employees, hiring and promoting subordinate employees, facilitating safety investigations, managing performance, administering discipline and developing formal training requirements for Distribution System Operators and Technical Advisors (TST). Requires being on call on a 24 hour/day basis and available to respond to all system emergencies.
Provides leadership and coordinates the work product for team of account executives that manages relationships with large and commercial, industrial and public sector customers throughout the Company’s service territory. Oversees the Account Executive’s to ensure activities support the mission, vision, strategic plan, goals and management decisions and specifically to lead team to develop best business practices, forge strong working relationships and provide excellent customer service to SDGE’s largest and complex commercial, industrial, public sector and/or Energy Markets customers. Acts as a lead Account Executive including managing all customer’s operational service-related demands including supporting customers during Public Safety Power Shutoffs or other emergency situations such as customer outages or EOC activations.
This position independently performs a full spectrum of financial, regulatory, reporting and accounting assignments, including preparation of complex financial transactions, reports, and related analysis. Makes recommendations on operational and accounting issues within functional area. Coaches, guides, and trains assigned accounting staff. Performs and reviews complex work issues with minimal direction. Works in a team environment to accomplish projects and goals.
Performs specific accounting, regulatory, reporting and financial assignments under the direction of senior staff, supervisor and/or manager. Identifies operational, accounting and regulatory issues within individual area of responsibility. Collaborates with senior staff, supervisor and/or manager to develop solutions.
The Quality Assurance Project Manager is responsible for ensuring program quality assurance and process improvement objectives are met and that the culture of continuous improvement is guided and developed within the business unit. The position may manage and direct major cross-functional projects within the department or business unit related to quality assurance systems and compliance. Responsible for the development of work scope, budget, schedule, and resource requirements. Prepare, negotiate and approve contracts and quality plans for contractors and/or consultants.
- Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the company light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, construction vehicles, work equipment, and the security of Company assets assigned to the garage.
