Coordinate and oversee the development of SDG&E’s Clean Transportation programs and initiatives and participate in regulatory proceedings before the CPUC. Responsible for regulatory deliverables (e.g., testimony, advice letters, compliance reports). Works collaboratively across SDG&E to ensure implementation and alignment of Company’s overall Clean Transportation strategy and policy objectives.
Administers complex non-litigated and litigated workers’ compensation cases and integrates the delivery of benefits associated with sickness and long-term disability benefits. Provides senior technical guidance, mentoring and support to the staff.
Develops and manages relationships with large and commercial, industrial and public sector customers throughout the Company’s service territory. Acts as a single point of contact ensuring customers are informed and comply with all applicable service options, tariffs and rules while strategically offering customers energy solutions and value-added services in the form of various program offerings, rate options and new technologies. Manages all customer’s operational service-related demands including supporting customers during Public Safety Power Shutoffs or other emergency situations such as customer outages or Emergency Operations Center activations.
In a program capacity, this position is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of all applicable customer programs within the Renewables program portfolio, targeting residential or commercial/industrial/agricultural customers in the SDG&E service area. These programs may be administered directly by SDG&E or through a third party. In a segment capacity, this position is responsible for segment business plans and segment program goals. In either capacity, this position should demonstrate a substantial program and project management skill set. This position will negotiate contracts when applicable. This position develops budgets and provides forecasting and tracking of budget and program results. This position requires a high level of analytical ability and is able to identify trends and develop systems necessary for quality program management.
Primary resource for responding to questions/concerns from the Absence Leave Specialist. Responsible for editing standard letters, leave request forms and other program documents and training. Provide primary back up support to Lead Claims Advisor – ECS. Oversight in managing, tracking, and determining eligibility for all aspects of job-protected leaves including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Family Sick Leave (FSL) and Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL). Determines if leave is to be authorized or denied based on statutory requirements and individual circumstances. Leave calculations include determining the employee’s own intermittent leave, family leave, other complex leave issues and/or other types of job-protected leave. Act as primary resource to employees, supervisors, managers and other Employee Care Services (ECS) staff regarding the requirements and regulations of the above mentioned leaves in coordination with company benefits and internal leave policies. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Administer sickness, long term disability (LTD) and Total Disability Under The Pension Plan (TDI) claims.
Perform design reviews, shop drawing and fabrication inspections, and post-construction inspections of utility infrastructure and related facilities. Provide detailed punchlists to Field Construction Advisors and requests for information to engineering regarding items found during inspection. Support inspection smart tool development and provide training to Field Construction Advisors in the use of the tool. Review engineering and shop drawing packages for discrepancies and conflicts with company standards, specifications, and work methods.
Analyzes business problems and issues of moderate scope using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and data elements. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. Communicate data conclusions and recommendations based on data analysis.
Responsible for leading a team to develop workable public policy strategies, positions and mechanisms that support Clean Transportation’s business plans and objectives. Consults with subject matter experts, business and financial analysts and operational departments in crafting comprehensive and consistent positions and arguments that position Clean Transportation to achieve its strategies in the market and in the regulatory and legislative arenas. Develops and implements strategic clean transportation policy initiatives. Partners with key stakeholders in Sacramento and San Francisco offices to influence strategic clean transportation policy.
