Power Resources Manager

The Power Resources Manager is a key member of the Power Resources team. The Power Resources team has a wide range of responsibilities related to the development and management of Peninsula Clean Energy’s energy supply portfolio to serve customers, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve the agency’s goal to be 100% renewable. This includes procuring renewable and carbon free energy and resource adequacy products, complying with Peninsula Clean Energy’s hedging and portfolio diversification strategies, achieving regulatory and legislative objectives, and maximizing benefits for our customers.

The Power Resources Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Power Resources and other Peninsula Clean Energy leadership and staff in functions related to developing and managing Peninsula Clean Energy’s power portfolio including compliance with power supply contracts, contract negotiation, power supply planning, research and due diligence with respect to potential power supply opportunities, risk management, regulatory compliance and reporting and invoice settlement and validation.

The Power Resources Manager may also assist with the preparation and presentation of informational material for the Peninsula Clean Energy Board. The individual in this position will develop significant subject matter expertise in Peninsula Clean Energy’s operations.

The Power Resources Manager should have knowledge of wholesale power procurement, energy-related technologies, local and state energy policy, negotiations, and intermediate to advanced project management and coordination skills. At least five years of directly related experience is required.

Renewable Energy Analyst

The Renewable Energy Analyst is an important member of the Power Resources team. The Power Resources team has a wide range of responsibilities related to the development and management of Peninsula Clean Energy’s energy supply portfolio to serve customers, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve the agency’s goal to be 100% renewable. This includes procuring renewable and carbon free energy and resource adequacy products, complying with Peninsula Clean Energy’s hedging and portfolio diversification strategies, achieving regulatory and legislative objectives, and maximizing benefits for our customers.

The Renewable Energy Analyst works under the direction of the Director of Power Resources and supports other managers and leadership at Peninsula Clean Energy. In this capacity, the Renewable Energy Analyst has a wide range of responsibilities for advancing Peninsula Clean Energy’s power procurement and strategic studies. Results of the Renewable Energy Analyst’s studies are presented to senior management, the Peninsula Clean Energy Board of Directors, key customers, stakeholders and community members. This person will play a major role in developing a power portfolio to meet Peninsula Clean Energy’s goal to be 100% renewable by 2025.

We are seeking a candidate with solid energy analytics and modeling expertise to lead the development and maintenance of key operational energy models. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of energy modeling experience, technical acumen, and a desire to innovate and transform the energy industry.
