Controller – New York, New York, United States
The Controller will be the key individual responsible for Ivy’s financial and accounting functions. This role will report to the Executive Team, and responsibilities include:
- Financial and Management Accounting
- Developing Ivy’s financial systems and processes
- Short-term cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Analysis and development of internal controls
- Preparing cash flow and financial projections
- Managing accounts payable
- Develop a process and manage accounts receivable
- Company and departmental budgeting and reconciliation
The ideal candidate will have experience as a senior finance role, preferably in a venture funded, growth stage SaaS provider. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline our budgeting and financial reporting processes. The controller will also produce thorough financial-status reports for senior managers and investors to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

The Head of People will be the leader responsible for managing HR legal compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. Responsibilities will include overseeing implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy; developing and maintaining HR policies; and managing payroll. This role will also be a partner to senior leadership with respect to culture initiatives that promote the company’s values and create a work environment that enables team members to perform at the highest level. The Head of HR will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and will begin as an individual contributor with support from cross-functional colleagues. Over time, we expect that the role will grow into managing a dedicated People team. Senior Data Engineer – San Diego, California, United States
We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be critical in tackling the data challenges that come with being a rapidly evolving, data-centric organization. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and improving our data architecture and infrastructure to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
In this position, you will play a critical role in shaping how our platform evolves, ensuring it continues to deliver accurate, real-time insights that drive our mission of revolutionizing shared solar systems. You will work closely with various product teams to design and build out the data infrastructure that supports our large enterprise clients who are key to our continued growth. Lastly, as we continue to scale and evolve, you will spearhead the efforts to expand our data engineering team, playing a pivotal role in both recruitment and mentorship.
The Senior Data Engineer will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and will be an integral part of the Engineering team. This position will involve cross-functional collaboration across various roles and projects, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain our data architecture, including databases, data pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage systems.

Business Analyst – DER Billing & Value Product Team – San Diego, California, United States
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Ivy Product Management Team as a member of the DER Billing and Value Product Team helping deliver solutions that provide tangible value to customers, the business, and that deliver outstanding user experiences. The DER Billing and Value Team is responsible for Ivy’s Virtual Grid platform that supports our split value solar billing programs that are the core of Ivy’s service offerings. This position reports to the lead Product Manager and works closely with the UX Designer and Tech Lead for this Product Team. In this role you will also collaborate closely with the larger product department team members within functional groups such as engineering, data science, and product management members as needed and necessary to coordinate requirements. You will be expected to focus on detailed requirements and scenario testing that inform technical features and documentation that will be necessary for the product development process, colleague knowledge transfer, and ongoing product maintenance.
What you will be doing
You will be working with product management to establish product roadmaps and assist in work that will help prioritize the product backlog in alignment with team and company OKRs. Supporting the product team using quantitative and qualitative data to support business decisions and by developing an understanding of the product vision, the product, users, and the external market. You will also work with the UX manager to assist in develoing, executing, and analyzing customer research, both qualitative and quantitative, to ensure we are providing value to end users. Also, you will be collaborating with the engineering team to document requirements to the team through user stories, supporting documentation, and acceptance criteria.
- Performing market research and collecting customer feedback to make recommendations about product strategy, features and requirements to ensure the product is providing value to end users.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to perform initial product analysis to assess the user value for any requested features as well as their potential impact.
- Driving consumer intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources that improve the business’s understanding of the product’s market, competitor activities, and customer activities.
- Creating reports and dashboards to monitor product performance by creating metrics or using existing product metrics to develop a deep understanding of product health and the customer experience.
- Working within Agile project methodology and participates in Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, grooming, and release planning.
- Creating product documentation as necessary including technical requirements, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, user scenarios, user stories, and feature availability.
- Working across the organization including with marketing, sales, account management, and operations to ensure a smooth launch of new products and features.
- Create data catalog documentation related to product data points available to clients.
- Work on technical documentation needed to support energy data and accounting driven features.
- Create data feature driven design models in collaboration with the data science team to test requirements and make sure they pass scenario testing and goals.
- Help with ongoing updates to utility rate research required.
- Collaborate with the policy team as they evaluate new utility jurisdictions and rate differences within those markets.
