Human Resources Business Partner | First Solar | Perrysburg

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible for performing a broad range of HR-related duties while providing day-to-day HR support for assigned manufacturing crew(s) and/or departments. Partner closely with manufacturing supervisors and other leaders in supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations. Originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that support the entire Human Resources team. Lead associate relations effort and ensure all human resources functions and activities are carried out effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with First Solar’s Core Values and Behaviors. This includes coordination and implementation of policies, programs, procedures, and programs in the following functional areas: benefits, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Experience:    

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources required.
  • Proven employee relations experience is required
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (Oracle) preferred
  • Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, ore a related field required
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Must have the ability to apply advanced technical knowledge & skills to issues brought forward
  • Must be able to interact professionally with associates at all levels
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, manage projects, and meet deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented and consistently accurate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office and human resources information systems
  • Time management & strong organization skills; manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Proven use of all Microsoft Office suite programs and HRIS systems
