Electrical Designer

Reporting directly to the CAD Manager, and indirectly to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, the Electrical Designer is responsible for AutoCAD drafting of the electrical engineering sheets for permit drawing packages. Typical solar PV plant sizes range from 200kW to 100MW’s.

Drafting duties include Solar PV Site Plans, Signage, DC/AC Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring plans, Utility Meter, Relay, SCADA, High Voltage Substations, Medium Voltage systems, and more. You will work closely with our engineering department to help coordinate the collection of data and information into drawing packages.

Please note that although the “Skills and Qualifications” section below appears long and all encompassing, we have very reasonable expectations for all applicants with the pertinent 4+ years of electrical designer experience (huge bonus points for candidates with PV solar experience). If you have this electrical design experience, please feel free to apply even if you don’t have EVERY listed skillset. At Erthos, our #1 goal is to hire truly great people, so we are very open to speaking with all experienced candidates.

Regional Sales Manager

Please note that we absolutely require all candidates for this position to live in the western U.S. and have at least 3 years of sales experience within the solar industry (ideally at the utility scale level).

In this remote/home-based position as the Western Region Sales Manager, you will be leading large scale commercial sales efforts primarily in the western U.S. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving business through the sale of Erthos’ Architect Engineering Agreements for its Earth Mount Solar PV technology in the utility, commercial and industrial market segments. You will be a critical member of the team that develops and executes the appropriate sales and pipeline development strategies to achieve the sales targets within the U.S.

To accomplish this, you will need to gain a deep, fundamental understanding about everything we do, how we do it, when we do it, and why we do it. A significant portion of your first months at Erthos will be spent proactively diving deep into our technology and simultaneously familiarizing yourself with our sales process, software tools, patents, products, manuals, corporate decks, business plans, and legal contracts. You will participate in sales calls and travel with senior management (CCO, Sr. Director of Sales, etc.) and sales engineers to sales meetings with prospective customers in order to fundamentally master our long and complex sales cycle. You will also get to know our engineering and robotics teams to understand how our technology has the potential to revolutionize the solar industry.

Presales Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Project Development Engineering, this is a remote/home-based position, although approximately 15 – 30% travel will be required. In summary, your role is to communicate Erthos’ technical and value propositions to potential customers such as developers, owners, and IPP’s. In this technically focused role that requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (engineering SMEs, external consultants, internal project finance/procurement/O&M experts, etc.), you will be working closely with the Director of Project Development Engineering to manage all aspects of the sales engineering process (e.g., site assessment, site design, cost estimating, energy modeling, grid interconnection, etc.) relating to our utility scale Earth Mount Solar projects. Our technology is applicable to the utility, commercial, and industrial PV markets. Therefore, you will be a critical member of the team that leads the technical due diligence efforts for large scale project acquisitions, co-development, and greenfield projects.

To accomplish this, you will need to gain a deep, fundamental understanding about everything we do, how we do it, when we do it, and why we do it. A significant portion of your first month at Erthos will be spent proactively diving deep into our technology. You will work closely with our internal team members within project finance, engineering, O&M and other departments to fully understand how Erthos’ technology lets us construct and operate commercial scale solar plants in half of the time, for significantly less cost, and on one-third of the land that traditional solar plants utilize.
