Deputy Director Commercial Clean Transportation Infrastructure

The Deputy Director Commercial Clean Transportation Infrastructure will be responsible for leading grant and program administration for zero emissions commercial transportation infrastructure focused on medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment for contracts worth up to $276m. The Deputy Director will oversee the California Energy Commission’s Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero-Emission Commercial Vehicles (EnergIIZE Commercial Vehicles) incentives, a first-of-its-kind project that provides funding for electric vehicle charging and hydrogen refueling infrastructure for zero-emission trucks, buses, and equipment in California; as well as three vocational set asides including public transit, public school bus, and drayage with close coordination with the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) team. In addition, this role will involve leading dedicated and cross-functional teams and contributing to strategy, policy, and business development.

Project Manager II, Clean Fuels & Infrastructure

The Project Manager II will support the Clean Fuels and Infrastructure initiative by leading technical assistance of applicant and industry stakeholders for a large-scale CEC funded block grant aimed at accelerating the deployment of light-duty EV chargers across California. The scope of this role includes but is not limited to leading cross-initiative data collection efforts and iterative reporting to the client, and the facilitation of ongoing knowledge transfer from industry standard organizations to the broader Clean Fuels and Infrastructure initiative.

Project Manager, Innovative EV Infrastructure Incentive Development Remote-CA

CALSTART is hiring! We are looking to hire a skilled Project Manager II to support the nation’s first state-level infrastructure incentives for medium- and heavy-duty truck and bus platforms. The Project Manager will help administer California Energy Commission’s Energy Infrastructure Incentives for Zero Emission Commercial Vehicles (www.Energiize.org) Project which aims to improve community health by reducing air pollution from harmful diesel emissions, while helping commercial fleets and industry partners meet California’s climate goals. Working at the intersection of path-breaking infrastructure deployment initiatives and zero-emission MD/HD vehicle technology, this position will work collaboratively with both the California Air Resources Board Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (www.Hvip.org) team, and the EnergIIZE team. A successful candidate for this role will support the Lead Project Manager in linking incentives for infrastructure with established and emerging ZE vehicle pools, in school-bus, transit, and drayage vehicle vocations. This position will be part of the CALSTART Clean Fuels and Infrastructure team and will work closely with the Deputy Director for Commercial ZEV Infrastructure Incentive Administration and the Director of ZEV Infrastructure Incentive Administration.

Project Manager I – EV Infrastructure Incentive Development

The Project Manager will also coordinate with participants, internal and external stakeholders, and team members to ensure we meet our pre-set goals and objectives timelines. You will support the tracking of progress, the creation of tools and resources (for internal and external stakeholders), keep a master calendar of deliverables, organize and update files, and answer phones, emails, and conduct basic clerical work daily.
