Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Aquagga is on the forefront of the global mission to end PFAS ‘forever chemical’ contamination, the largest environmental cleanup challenge of the 21st century. I-PERF Postdoctoral Research Scientist – Pressure Vessel & Piping Design
- Location requirements: 60-80% in-person; Tacoma, WA
- Work authorization requirements: Must be a United States Citizen, National, or Permanent Resident of the United States at the time of application
- Position type: 12 month contract role through the Innovative Postdoctoral Entrepreneurial Research Fellowship ( I-PERF) program

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Scientist with expertise in designing and running experiments, preferably with some knowledge and experience in pressure vessel and piping design. Join our team to contribute to the advancement of the world’s leading PFAS treatment technology and make a significant impact in the field.
- Design and plan experiments to investigate the performance of pressure vessels under harsh operating conditions.
- Develop and implement protocols for evaluating the durability of materials.
- Design and execute experimental procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision in data collection.
- Analyze experimental results using appropriate methods and interpret findings to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and research literature in PFAS treatment technologies.
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations to disseminate research findings internally and externally.
- Participate in technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings to contribute insights and ideas.
- Collaborate with industry partners, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies to exchange knowledge and foster collaborative research efforts.
- Contribute to the development of grant proposals and research funding applications to support ongoing research activities.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior researchers, providing guidance and support in experimental techniques and data analysis.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and contribute to the overall organization and cleanliness of the research facility.
Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager
- Location requirements: 60% in-person; Tacoma, WA (Travel up to 20%)
- Work authorization requirements: Must be authorized to work within the United States
- Compensation: $60,000-$80,000
- Hours per week: 40 hours per week

Get involved with an early-stage startup with high growth potential in a rapidly emerging market, increasing brand awareness and engagement with customers, investors, community advocates, stakeholders, and supporters.
- Develop content including project write-ups/case studies, team member bios, industry news/trends, press releases, etc.
- Create and distribute email newsletters
- Produce product/team marketing videos–collaborating with animators, videographers, and voice actors as needed
- Develop marketing materials/product brochures–working with graphic designers, engineers, and business development team and external consultants and gig workers
- Conduct Pre and Post Trade show marketing and integration into Hubspot CRM
- Oversee the planning and execution of trade shows and conferences to showcase Aquagga’s work and grow our business development contacts
- Manage company events including community and thought leadership events
- Track analytics to determine the success of marketing efforts
- Generate social media posts for Aquagga’s social media channels
- Engage community advocacy groups on PFAS as an environmental justice issue
