Metrus Energy is positioned to exponentially grow its energy efficiency finance business and it all starts with the sales team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Sales, the Sales Analyst is critical to the success of the entire sales team and will provide market analysis, financial modeling, direct outreach to target customers, as well as interact with customers on their projects. The Sales Analyst is the front line of new deals and is responsible for supporting the sales team in the sourcing and execution of opportunities to achieve annual revenue targets.
The position calls for an individual who can thrive in a quick-paced, results and performance-oriented start-up and who can demonstrate strong analytic skills. This individual will be based in San Francisco.

Duties and Responsibilities
The individual’s responsibilities will include:
|· Work in tandem with the Metrus sales team to support our customers and achieve sales targets|
|· Conduct financial modeling to creatively structure customer offerings in order to maximize the customer value proposition|
|· Value-engineer (optimize costs for) customer offerings|
|· Communicate daily with internal teams in order to advance customer offerings toward booking|
|· Implement strategies that efficiently allocate resources to best accelerate pipeline and execution of profitable projects|
|· Analyze requests for proposals, coordinate response planning and bid preparation|
|· Lead special projects to improve our processes and value proposition|
Experience and Qualifications
The individual’s qualifications are expected to include a proven track record of selling complex products and exceeding sales targets. A demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with channel partners, direct customers and other key market participants is a must. The successful individual will also need to demonstrate:
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, consulting, finance, financial reporting, or clean energy financing with a strong track record
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with CRM management tools
- Exceptional communication, writing and customer service skills and experience
- Problem solver who can accurately assess, solve, implement, and communicate solutions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, quantitative and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and represent Metrus professionally in all aspects
- Work experience in the energy efficiency or clean energy industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, economics, finance, accounting, environmental management, or other related field
Further, the candidate will need to be a self-starter who can thrive in a start-up and consistently meet deadlines. The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 7 years of ex-perience in business development and/or sales.
